The lurg is doing the rounds, so should you power through it, or rest up and wait until you're fighting fit?
This largely depends on the severity of your illness. If you have the flu, with aches, pains and shivers literally knocking you sideways, then you need to rest as much as possible, save all your energy for getting well. If it's more of an annoying common head-cold, then you will probably be fine to exercise, however, gyms can be pretty germy places as standard and with your immune system already taking a battering, this probably isn't the best place for you, and I imagine other gym-goers would thank you for staying away too. Instead, head outside into the fresh air for a walk or light jog. You're probably not going to make any gains in the gym while you're feeling less than 100% anyway.
Above all, listen to your body, it's ok to take a few days off exercise to concentrate on getting into tip-top condition for that little known festivity that's around the corner 🙂🎄 Now's the time to dose up on as many healthy, wholesome foods as you can. A colourful variety of veggies will have an abundance of vitamins and minerals that you need to get you back to your normal self.
