It’s a common misconception among women that lifting weights will make you look like Arnie. I’m here to tell you ladies, it won’t.
It takes an enormous amount of effort through training and eating the right diet for men to build muscle and ‘bulk up’, let alone women.
We don’t have the hormonal capacity to build muscle in the same way as men, so unless you’re going to spend literally hours pumping iron in the gym every day, you will not get bulky.
What you will get is improved body composition (ratio of body fat to muscle mass) and strong muscles and bones that will allow you to do the things you once found difficult.
This is just a mere snapshot of what a regular strength training programme can do for you, the benefits are almost countless.
