Are your weight loss goals too big?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Is that even a sensible question? It can be hard to visualise and answer. It's much the same with weight loss goals. Do you say to yourself - 'I'd really like to lose 1, 2, 3 etc stone'? This is a natural reaction to a weight loss goal; focusing on the last hurdle, but that takes time to achieve.

Sadly we live in a world where we're fed misleading information about quick-fix diets and BS weight loss products that promise rapid results, but these are neither sensible, nor do they provide you with the education you need for long-term, sustainable weight loss results.

A far more successful approach is to break your end-goal down into small, achievable targets that you can reach in a matter of weeks. Smashing that first goal will give you the motivation to crack on with the next goal, then the next, and the see where I'm going with this.

In many walks of life it's good practice to thing BIG, but not here. Think small, think tiny, minuscule, wee. Each small target you smash takes you one step closer to that big goal.

So, where DO I see myself in 5 years? Right here, helping as many people as I can to live healthier lives, one small step at a time.
