The key to long-term, sustainable weight loss is a consistent calorie deficit, either by consuming fewer calories than you burn, or burning more calories than you consume through regular exercise and generally moving more.
There's no need to avoid any foods, and research shows that indulging in a little of what you fancy every now and then helps to keep you on the straight and narrow.
